It looks like you downloaded assets in PNG format. PNGs have to be packed into .dungeondraft_pack files to be used as an asset pack that can selected from the menu. It's important to note that, forgotten Adventures packages all their assets into Dungeondraft packs on their Patreon. They even show you how to set up the folder and import premade packs.
