Fly Fishing Knots

Understanding fly fishing knots requires examining multiple perspectives and considerations. I'm about to purchase a Redington trace 3wt 8' 6" fly rod. It's main use is going to be for dry fly fishing, on small streams. I may fish it occasionally on medium rivers, ( 25 ft width estimate). From another angle, i do use terrestrials, humpy trumpy's kill on a local creek. It's important to note that, sometimes use chubby Chernobyls, and others on this bigger size. Does anyone have this rod?
