When acquiring new imagery for an area it has to consider lots of aspects including the current and new imagery dates, the size and quality of the areas covered, and quite importantly - cost. The 3D imagery is from several flights, possibly on different dates. This perspective suggests that, street View only gives you the month. Google buys the satellite images from commercial providers online. If you need an exact date, you may be able to find something from them.
